The toolkit has been developed primarily in Arabic, while drawing, where relevant, on French and English references, ensuring its relevance to working conditions in a restrictive and highly monitored environment.

The content of this guide combines trusted open-source digital security resources with original material developed in response to the needs and challenges expressed by Algerian civil society actors through training sessions and individual cybersecurity support. The guide covers key topics including digital hygiene, secure communication tools, password management, social media safety, and digital risk awareness. It is designed to serve as a practical reference that can be used independently or as part of capacity-building activities. Through this guide, SHOAA for Human Rights aims to strengthen digital resilience, reduce exposure to digital threats, and contribute to safer and more sustainable civic engagement in the digital space.
